School Activities

 

Sports

 

All the children are expected to take part in the Physical Education programme, which is on offer, including weekly swimming.  Exceptions will be made only on medical grounds.

 

Music

 

** The children from Year 2 upwards receive “Descant Recorder” tuition as part of their music programme of study.  The tuition is included in the school fees but each child will need to purchase his/her own recorder from the school.  Recorder descants vary tremendously in their tuning and quality and therefore, for the sake of harmony, the children must have the same type of instrument.

 

Extra-Curricular

 

To enrich the children’s education, after-school clubs are encouraged at LBJS.  At present the school offers Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Dance, Design Technology, Soccer and Bead Making.  These are all optional extras and separate charges apply.  We will endeavour to expand the after-school activities’ programme as we find more suitable qualified tutors who are willing to run clubs.  Parents are notified of any relevant changes to these provisions. 

All extra-curricular activities finish at 3.00pm with the exception of the Nursery clubs which finish at 2.00pm.
